STATEMENT

My motivation as an artist is to bring a visual voice to that which is not commonly seen, heard, or understood due to emotional, physical, or cultural barriers.

About

Denise Ferguson is a fine arts painter focusing primarily on landscapes and portraiture. She received a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in painting from the University of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Upon graduation, Denise freelanced as an assistant project coordinator with Oland Arts Consulting, which specializes in Corporate Art, Healthcare Art, and Healing Environments. This experience further launched Denise’s interest in using the arts to relate to our communities in meaningful ways.

Missing the space, sounds, and views of her youth, Denise returned to Worland, Wyoming where she continues to do studio work in her spare time. Through her paintings and developing illustrations of the MyInnerDoodle character, Denise hopes to encourage others to listen to their inner creative voice as a means to living an intentional life.
